Use Annotation tools to draw lines, input letters, highlight and hide areas on the Live Preview picture. You can change colors, line thickness, round off edges of rectangles, font.
Click onto the item of interest to open the corresponding subject:
With the Edit buttons you can select drawn lines/figures or texts to change position, size, colors or other properties afterwards.
To erase drawn lines/figures or texts, just mark it with the select button and click erase (DELETE key on computer keyboard).
Click Undo to cancel the previous step. And Redo to cancel the last Undo action.
To highlight areas of the Live Preview picture. To move the highlighted area, grab the circle and move it to the desired position. The size of highlighted area can be changed in the Spotlight drop-down menu.
To cover areas of the Live Preview picture. To increase or decrease the covered area, grab the yellow double arrow and move it left/right or up down. The direction of covering can be changed in the Cover drop-down menu.
Select pen, marker, eraser, circle, ellipse, line, square and rectangle or text tool.
The line width can be selected in the drop-down menu in step from 1px to 30px.
The corners can be rounded in the drop-down menu in steps from None (sharp corner) to 20px.
To change the color of lines, frames and letters, click "Color" and select the desired color or choose it in the "Palette".
To change the filling color of rectangles or circles, click "Fill Color" and select the desired color or choose it in the "Palette".
The right lower color is transparent.
Select the desired color and click OK. To abort click Cancel.
Change the font and text style.
By double clicking the left mouse button onto the Live Preview window, the Fullscreen mode will be started.
By default, the Annotation cursor symbol will be shown in the left upper corner of the screen.
Open the annotation ribbon bar by moving the mouse cursor over the arrow.
The annotation ribbon bar and the cursor symbol will disappear after a certain amount of time of mouse inactivity. The curser will re-appear as soon as the mouse will be moved.
The position and the availability of the annotation ribbon bar can be changed in the "Preferences..." dialog.
To exit the Fullscreen mode, just double click onto the window again, press the F11-key or hit the ESC-key on your computer keyboard.
Due to computer limitation, the frame rate will be decreased when using Annotation together with Video Recording or Streaming.
